Senior Citizens Groups
AARP Tax Aide Assistance
Service for people who need assistance with their taxes. Older taxpayers may also call the local AARP office in Austin at 480-9797 to receive information on obtaining free tax preparation assistance.
Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area
A program of the Capital Area Planning Council (CAPCO), AAACA's mission is to plan, develop and provide a system of services promoting independence for persons sixty years or older. All of our services are free.
Austin Area Human Services Association (AAHSA)

Austin Groups for the Elderly
Austin Groups for the Elderly has been serving Austin's aging community for 15 years. We offer low-rent office space to other non-profits, an adult day care and computer classes for students 50 and older.

Provides legal advice for Texans who are 60 and older, younger than 60 with Medicare, are victims of a violent crimes or are in nursing homes. Calls answered 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays.
National Association of Retired Federal Employees
